Labour & Love is a feature documentary that follows Mercy, a Nigerian storyteller and care worker living in rural England, caught within a legal form of bonded labour. In her spare time, she turns to AI to reframe her reality, creating Afrofuturist stories and images that reimagine her confinement. The film is in late co-development with early support from BFI Doc Society, Submarine (Amsterdam) and ELDA° (Paris).
